COMPANY
Located in the heart of Freeport, Texas, our facility is strategically positioned between the Port of Freeport and the Union Pacific Railroad. This gives direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway making us accessible by rail, highway, vessel, and/or barge transportation. Freeport is also home of the largest integrated chemical manufacturing facility in the Western Hemisphere along with other impressive rivaling facilities.
ROBUST INFRASTRUCTURE
Our facility has 150,000+ Square Feet of floor space, 500+ Ton Weight Capacity, Painting Booth, Shipping/Receiving Building. We have every tool necessary to produce a flawless finished product.

Our Mission ~
As Employees of Freeport Welding, we have provided fabrication and maintenance services for the Refining, Marine, and Petro-Chemical industries since 1958. We have over 65 years of experience, and are among the best at what we do, anywhere in the world.
To that end, we have defined our mission to be:
1. To provide our customers, both internal and external, with products that meet their requirements at reasonable and competitive prices.
2. To provide all company employees with a clean, safe working environment, the equipment and support that allows them to do the best possible job, and the greatest possible job-related opportunities.
3. To continue to research & develop new methods, tools, and procedures that streamline the fabrication process to better benefit society.
Our History
1958
Freeport Welding was started by Roy Fowler, located at 211 East Eighth Street in Freeport, Texas, on the South side of the Old Brazos River.
1962
Freeport Welding incorporated as a “C” Corporation.
1975
Roy Fowler sold the company to Roy Yates and Ital “Buster” Muse.
1983
Buster Muse sold his shares of the company to Roy Yates.
1998
Acquired the 26.22 acres that it presently occupies at 200 North Navigation Blvd., which is on the North side of the Old Brazos River and inside the Freeport storm protection levee system.
2000
Built a 51,600 square-foot shop on the new property, plus an office building, and garage.
2006
Began construction of the 2nd phase of the main shop. A 51,600 square feet expansion that doubled our shop space.
2008
Began construction of the 3rd phase addition to the main shop (17,200 square feet). By 2008 Freeport Welding had been in business for 50 years.
2009
Began construction of the 4th and final phase of the main shop (additional 20,000 square feet).
2009
Freeport Welding became 30% Employee owned (ESOP).
2014
Began construction on a new separate building, designated specifically for shipping and receiving.
2020
Successfully completed and shipped the largest pressure vessel we’d ever fabricated at 500+ tons.
